JILL COOPER is a hyper-talented, multi-instrumentalist from Victoria British Columbia, and Scrap Arts Music’s latest addition. Born in 1994, Jill started playing violin at age 5, guitar at age 10, and the drums at age 13. By the tender age of 14, Jill was busking with her older sister at Victoria’s famous Inner Harbour, where she honed her performance chop and wowed tourists with her incredible voice.
Jill began training for Scrap Arts Music in 2013 while completing her second year of sciences at the University of Victoria She made her first full concert performance with the ensemble in Los Angeles in March 2014.
Jill’s natural athleticism attracted the attention of several recruiters for college and university basketball teams, and explains why she is so well suited to Scrap Arts Music! She loves to play competitive basketball, volleyball and track, and in her spare time, she enjoys backpacking and snowboarding.
Jill has released two original CDs, and since the age of 17, has travelled for her music. She recently accompanied Motown legend Martha Reeves at the National Arts Center of Canada, and has performed as a solo artist in Tennessee debuting her second CD. While not on tour, Jill teaches drums and performs as a singer, drummer and violinist around Victoria./>
